Veterinarian

Odds of Hanging On

If you are a good doctor and your patients (and their owners) like you and continue to come to you for checkups and emergencies, you shouldn't have a problem growing or sustaining your practice. If they are loyal and tell two friends who tell two friends…you can hire eight more vets—bill them out at $200 an hour while they cost you $50 and hour—and have a real business. Fortunately, animals are always getting sick or dying. Ooh. That came out wrong.
