Statistics and Probability 6.SP.B.5.c

c. Giving quantitative measures of center (median and/or mean) and variability (interquartile range and/or mean absolute deviation), as well as describing any overall pattern and any striking deviations from the overall pattern with reference to the context in which the data were gathered.

Students should be able to find the mean, the median, the mean absolute deviation, and the interquartile range for numerical data set. Look how far they've come—from barely understanding statistical questions to calculating two different measures of center and spread for any distribution of numerical data.

We also expect students to be able to describe the shape of distributions as symmetric or skewed. They don't have to get too much further in to shape of data (i.e., no need for fancy words like "bell-shaped" or "bimodal"). And let's wait on outliers until they're in high school.
