Jekyll and Hyde

For those of you who slept through Lit 101, the reference here comes from Robert Louis Stevenson’s The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. It’s about a mad scientist type who takes a potion that turns him into a violent killer.

For our purposes, the key here is the split personality. A Jekyll and Hyde market is one that can’t make up its mind. Up big one day, followed by a big sell off the next.
