Locus Sigilli

A spell in the Harry Potter universe used to locate a fellow student who is somewhere else on the grounds at Hogwarts. Don’t believe us? Grab your wand, and give it a good swish and flick. The locus sigilli is a Latin phrase which means “location of the seal”. It’s often abbreviated L.S. nowadays, and it tells signers and embossers and stampers of legal docs like Notaries or CEOs or medieval kings know where their stamp, signature, or wax seal is supposed to be affixed so everything is all legal and above board.
