Multinational Corporation - MNC

Behemoths. Big companies. They sell their wares..."everywhere."

Multiple. Nations. That's where the name came from. Usually, a multi-national company comes with a "network structure" of operations. That is, it doesn't just make its wares in, say the U.S. and then sell them in 110 other countries. Instead, it has a dozen or more manufacturing facilities or partners in many other countries, who then sell to yet other countries, and even sell products made in Somalia back into the United States.

To be a truly multi-national corporation, these beasts do more than just broadcast the sale of their wares; they become interlinked and interwoven into the political and economic fabric of their partner countries. It's just better business practice for the long-term.
