Today was good. Today was fun. Tomorrow is another one.

Context

This line is from the book One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish, by Dr. Seuss (1960).

When you reach a certain age—say, fourteen—after a long day, full of adventures, you just want a nap. But not the kids of One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish. At the end of their journey through the wild worlds of Zans and Goxes, these kids are already planning their next trip. Maybe one where the orange fish and the purple fish won't feel left out.

Where you've heard it

You've heard this on a Friday or Saturday. Never on Sunday, because Monday isn't another fun day, no matter what these kids think.

A classic Simpsons episode plays off of the title of this book, called "One Fish, Two Fish, Blowfish, Blue Fish."

Pretentious Factor

If you were to drop this quote at a dinner party, would you get an in-unison "awww" or would everyone roll their eyes and never invite you back? Here it is, on a scale of 1-10.

This quote isn't very pretentious, but it might be too perky and optimistic for some people.
