Once more to the breach Why Should I Care

Why Should I Care?

When it comes down to it, Henry is a great speaker. What successful politician isn't? He's decided that he wants to invade France whether his troops like it or not.

By the end of this speech, how could they not like it? He claims God is fighting with them, and is on their side. Who would choose to fight against the king and God? We're betting no one raised his hand for that one.

Henry is able to strike a chord with his troops because he acts as though he is one of them. But the fact is, he's nothing like them at all. He can sit back and relax while other people risk their lives for him. But he doesn't. That's what makes Henry's little speech so persuasive and encouraging to his men.

So next time you want to convince people to do something, take a page out of Henry's book and make it seem like you're in the trenches with them. If he can get a bunch of rag-tag soldiers to defeat the French and get him another crown, then we're betting his tactic can get you whatever you're after, too.
