- Here's who died: Michael, Roy, Warren, The Bald Man (missing, presumed dead), Bobby, Ed, Matty.
- In jail: John, Ted.
- Oh, also dead: Lilly, who hanged herself the day James got out of jail. "It is believed she was sober until she died" (Epilogue.12).
- Alive: Miles, who never relapsed; and Lincoln, Ken, Hank, and Joanne, who all still work at the clinic.
