Frank Raymond

Frank is Calo's tutor, and he teaches his student all kinds of things that a regular tutor might not, like about the different opinions and realities of life in America. He is a great guy who comes to care a lot about Calo, and he serves as a reliable resource for Calo, both in terms of satiating his curiosity and by helping Calo and his family get out of trouble with white townsfolk. Frank even tries to save Calo and defend his family at the end, though he is ultimately discouraged at gunpoint.
