As You Like It Steaminess Rating

Exactly how steamy is this story?

PG-13

Here's the deal. There isn't any nudity or sex on stage in As You Like It. But! We're talking about Shakespeare, which means the play is full of dirty jokes like this one, where Touchstone tells his fiancée that he's glad she's ugly ("foul") because her unattractiveness has prevented her from hooking up with other men and, just maybe, this will also mean that Audrey and Touchstone will have an especially active sex life once they're married:

AUDREY
I am not a s***, though I thank the gods I am foul.
TOUCHSTONE
Well, praised be the gods for thy foulness!
Sluttishness may come hereafter.
(3.4.37-40)

As You Like It is also notorious for being steamy in the homoerotic department. Of course you'll want to know all about this, so you should head to "Symbolism, Imagery, Allegory" and read what we have to say about "Ganymede." Go on. You're not getting any younger...
