The Monk Timeline and Summary

The Monk's is the fifth portrait in the General Prologue.
After the Tale of Melibee, the Host praises the monk for being such a manly man and speculates that he would probably be a stud if given the opportunity.
The Monk tells his tale, a collection of tragedies about men who fell from great heights, after the Tale of Melibee and before the Nun's Priest's tale, making him nineteenth in the line-up of stories.
