Exactly how steamy is this story?

The few steamy scenes of Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? feel a lot like evening-to-late-night television in how explicit, or rather inexplicit, they are.
Although there are some sexual situations that definitely sway toward the side of adult, everything is kept FCC-friendly, with the written equivalent of tasteful camera angles using objects in the foreground to cover up that full-frontal nudity. For example:
Setting down her empty glass, [Rachael] bent forward, reached back, and unfastened her bra. With agility she slid it from her, then stood, swaying, and grinning because she swayed. (16.47)
See what we mean? Yes, Rachael is now technically topless in a scene leading up to an illicit android-human affair, but there's not a vivid description of what she looks like naked. The scene also ends as they crawl into bed, and we return to Rick and Rachael in their post-coital chit-chat. And frankly, that's a good thing. We're not sure about the ethics of a human-robot relationship, you know?
