Granddad Chet Duncan

Chet is the guiding light in Flipped, and thank goodness we have him around. Sure at first he's super quiet and doesn't say much, but once Bryce gets to know his Granddad, this dude teaches his grandson some seriously important stuff. And it's not just that Granddad tells Bryce all about Juli's family—we know that Granddad's mentoring of Bryce goes even deeper. He helps Bryce to start thinking differently about himself and how he treats others, which makes him one life-changing teacher.
