Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe)’s Timeline and Summary

Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe)’s Timeline and Summary

  • Harry can't wait to go back to school after spending the summer with his awful Muggle relatives.
  • A house-elf shows up in his bedroom and Harry gets blamed for the magical chaos that ensues.
  • Luckily, Ron rescues Harry with a flying car and takes Harry to the Weasley house. Good thinking, best friend.
  • When Harry tries to board the train to Hogwarts, he and Ron are blocked from getting onto Platform 9 ¾, so they decide to use the flying car to get there instead. They end up getting in a bit of trouble.
  • At school, Harry starts hearing voices in the hallways. Then he finds Mrs. Norris petrified with a spooky message about the Chamber of Secrets written on the wall in blood. Creepy.
  • Later, at dueling club, Harry accidentally reveals he can talk to snakes, which freaks everyone out.
  • Harry and Ron decide to investigate to see if Draco Malfoy is the heir of Slytherin by using a Polyjuice Potion that Hermione has brewed to pose as Crabbe and Goyle.
  • Later, in the bathroom, Harry finds a blank diary that belongs to Tom Marvolo Riddle. The diary shows him a vision of Hagrid opening the Chamber of Secrets.
  • Harry and Ron hear that Hermione has been petrified on her way back from the library.
  • So Harry and Ron take Hagrid's advice and follow some spiders into the Forbidden Forest to investigate. There, they come across many way bigger, way scarier spiders.
  • Back in the castle, Harry and Ron figure out that Hagrid never opened the Chamber of Secrets, the monster is a basilisk, and Ginny has been taken into the chamber. Yikes.
  • Harry heads down into the chamber to save Ginny where he meets a "memory" of Tom Riddle. Turns out he was Voldemort along. A young Voldemort, but still.
  • Tom calls the basilisk to attack Harry, but Harry manages to slay the beast with the help of Fawkes.
  • Harry and Dumbledore have a little heart-to-heart and Harry frees that mischievous house-elf from the beginning of the story.
  • A happy ending… until next year.
