Character Role Analysis

Adam Farmer and Amy Hertz

Never before has the phrase "opposites attract" taken on more meaning. Adam is shy, reclusive, and scared; Amy is outspoken, social, and ready to try anything. The best part is, they're both totally aware of it. Adam knows Amy is a different breed, and she helps Adam come out of his shell a bit. She talks to him about how shy he is and how he needs to laugh more. While he never turns into a "wise-guy" (10.5) like her, he becomes a little more daring and even causes some mischief for himself.
