Who is the narrator, can she or he read minds, and, more importantly, can we trust her or him?

Though all works of literature present the author’s point of view, they don’t all have a narrator or a narrative voice that ties together and presents the story. This particular piece of literature doesn't have a narrator through whose eyes or voice we learn the story.
