Joseph

Joseph understands Igbo culture. He helps Obi adjust back into Nigerian life, supports him in his attempt to remain free of corruption, and cautions him against dating Clara. Though Obi cuts off contact with Joseph after he criticizes Obi's engagement to Clara, Joseph returns to help Obi after Hannah Okonkwo's death, bringing the necessary bottles of beer, the customary offering to those who come to grieve with you.
