This novel is as easy as reading the Sunday funnies. Just as Guy Delisle has guides to lead him around North Korea, he in turn serves as our guide for this journey. Lucky us. His art style is clean and uncluttered. Each character is detailed enough to tell them apart at a glance. His dialogue is concise. And he has an easy sense of humor. But remember: just because this book is easy to read, that doesn’t mean that it isn’t raising thought-provoking questions for us to chew on.
