  • After Claudius requests Ros and Guil seek out Hamlet, Gertrude pipes up and says that Hamlet speaks much of them and likes them greatly. She promises them that their visiting him "shall receive such thanks as fits a king's remembrance" (1.287).
  • She corrects her husband Claudius when he thanks them, but messes up their names.
  • Appearing with Claudius, she asks how Hamlet received the two of them.
  • Her only appearance in the final act is as a dead body in the final scene.
