Character Analysis
On King's Day, which is like a holiday, Sadima gets to see the king in a parade around Limòri. She witnesses some pretty fancy stuff: "The king was just coming, his carriage making a slow turn at the corner. Sadima could see his glossy white hair and the jeweled circlet on his brow" (45.46). So he's old, and rich—no big surprises. Also, he's Somiss's dad.
