Lazer-Wolf is pretty much just here for comic relief. He is so old, low-class, and grubby that he could never really be a viable match for the pretty and educated Tzeitl. It would be like marrying off an aging metal rocker to a Disneyfied starlet. So why do we meet this potential suitor?
His wild inappropriateness become the stand-in for all the suggested suitors the matchmaker ever comes up with. Just think, when the matchmaker shows up one story later with the perfect rich dude for Hodl, who do you immediately think of?
