Old Man

The Old Man is the main protagonist of The Chairs. His quest to have his message heard drives the action of the play. It's his dream that we we're waiting to see fulfilled. Note the fact that there's no antagonist in the play. The only things standing in the Old Man's way are his own character flaws and time.
