The Ear, the Eye, the Arm Chapter 37 Summary

  • Arm uses the rope to climb down the Mile-High MacIlwaine and onto the embassy.
  • There are strong gusts of wind, but the mhondoro tells him to keep going.
  • Ear comes along to help, but he can't use his ears because he's afraid the wind will harm them.
  • It turns out he's right: Before long, Ear's ears are all bloody from being split by the wind.
  • Arm feels awful but knows he has to follow whatever the mhondoro says.
  • Mother joins up with them, ready to blast a hole in the side of the Gondwannan Embassy.
  • She doesn't care how much trouble it will get Zimbabwe in; all she cares about is getting her children back, and if that includes blowing up the side of an embassy, so be it.
