• She dresses quickly and hears Joe flinging silver dollars through her open door.
• It's game time! Missie chases Joe outside and inside the house.
• While Joe washes up Missie makes dinner.
• Joe announces that they're going to a new ice cream parlor, run by Slemmons.
• Missie says she saw Slemmons once at the store.
• She changes, they eat ice cream and afterwards Missie isn't impressed with Slemmons.
• They go to the parlor again and sometime in the next few days Missie sleeps with Slemmons.
• Caught in the act! Missie's in bed with Slemmons when Joe comes home early.
• After Joe kicks him out Missie can't stop crying.
• The next day Joe asks Missie for breakfast; she cooks him food but doesn't eat.
• Missie thinks about leaving Joe but can't because she loves him too much.
• One day he comes home complaining of back pains and Missie gives him a massage.
