Dimitri Belikov Timeline & Summary

  • Out in Portland, Dimitri tracks runaways Lissa and Rose down and takes them back to the academy where they belong.
  • Back at St. Vladimir's, after being properly chewed out, Rose's life is reduced to training and classes. Dimitri offers to put in extra time with Rose to train her to be a super strong, Strigoi-fighting guardian.
  • Rose starts training and realizes how behind she is in combat. She's worried she won't be able to catch up, or save Lissa from a Strigoi if she ever needs to, but Dimitri thinks she'll make a great guardian because she cares so much about Lissa.
  • Dimitri busts Rose hooking up with Jesse. He's disappointed in Rose because she's got to focus on training, not boys.
  • As the rumor mill churns about Rose, Jesse, and Ralf, Dimitri tells Rose not to worry about what others think and to keep training.
  • A couple days later, Lissa and Rose go to the mall with Prince Victor, Natalie, Dimitri, and some guardians. On the way there, Dimitri tells Rose that she has to act quickly to defeat Strigoi. Chances are decent that they will be someone she used to know, so she needs to never hesitate to kill them. They are bigger, faster, and stronger, so acting quickly is their only shot as guardians.
  • Dimitri visits Rose in the hospital and gives her a gift: her fav lip gloss. So he was paying attention when she was blabbing about that.
  • When Lissa is kidnapped by a bunch of guardians, Rose shows up at Dimitri's and a major make-out session ensues… until Dimitri takes of Rose's necklace, breaking the spell they were under.
  • Dimitri, Rose, and some other guardians race after Lissa and the kidnappers to a cabin in the woods.
  • Rose goes to visit Victor in jail, and Natalie shows up as a Strigoi.
  • Dimitri to the rescue—he takes Strigoi-Natalie down.
  • Rose really wants to be with Dimitri, especially after kissing him, but he tells her it's not such a good idea. They're both guardians and it would get in the way of their jobs.
