Mr. Green is Edgar Linton's lawyer, who sells out to Heathcliff. Instead of securing Edgar's will to prevent Heathcliff from inheriting Thrushcross Grange, he enables Heathcliff to gain control of the property and even comes down personally to kick everyone out.
