Fashion designer Diane von Fürstenburg was born on this day in 1946. She's best known for her iconic, universally flattering wrap dress. She also used to be a princess. Her first husband, whom she met while an economics student at the University of Geneva, was Prince Egon of Fürstenburg (not to be confused with Prince Egon of Ghostbusters). When she and Egon divorced in 1972, she lost the royal title, but decided to retain the name.
