Association of International Bond Dealers - AIBD

Categories: Careers, Banking, Accounting

"Bond, James Bond." Haha, just kidding. The Association of International Bond Dealers (AIBD) is the original name of a group now called Capital Market Association (ICMA). It was founded in 1969, originally working with just "euro-bonds" in Switzerland, but as of 2018 had a membership of over 530 financial conglomerates and institutions in 60 countries (so you could the group has grown a bit).

The association influences regulations on bond dealing in Europe, Asia and Lain America with the goal of better prices and market conditions. Insurance companies can join, as well as fund managers, accountants and law firms.
