Balanced ANOVA

Categories: Metrics

The Chevy Nova was a cool car in the 70s, whereas ANOVA is a statistical test used to determine whether or not different groups have different means.

Average is a synonym for arithmetic mean. If the sum of 6 numbers is 180, the average/mean of the numbers is 180/6, or 30. So an ANOVA, simplistically, could be a test to see if ten groups of five numbers each had an average of 30.

An ANOVA analysis typically uses equally sized sets of numbers.
