Balanced Score Card

On the surface, the balanced scorecard (BSC) was/is a marketer's dream. The description of the BSC contains every buzz word or phrase from "connect the dots" to "the big picture," while apparently giving birth to every strategic planning system known to man.

The Balanced Score Card is a strategic planning structure that begins with what is trying to be accomplished (goal), how to accomplish the goal (day to day tasks), and when (this first then that).

Those ingredients are the basis and core of every financial, comprehensive, and strategic plan (what do you want, when do you want it, how do you get there on a micro and macro level). The BSC seems to have caught on pretty well.
