Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG)

Categories: Econ

It's just gas. Natural gas. But verrrrry cold. Like...minus 150 F or colder.

Why would you care about LNG? Well, liquefying it shrinks its size for transport. You see it on the highways and railways in those long cylindrical cans. Don't run into them. When very cold, LNG hits the much warmer outside air and suddenly, uh, bad things happen.
