Look-Alike Contracts

Categories: Company Management

Ever try to get your product stocked on the shelves of Walmart? Yeah, good luck with that. And what do you need with a second lung, anyway?

Well, most Walmart contracts with vendors look…alike. “You will first pay to Walmart $1 million in stocking fees; then you will deliver 14 million units to the following 32 places. Then you will receive 32% of whatever suggested retail price we deem appropriate. Don’t like it? Then try doing business with the kindly, loving, easy-going people at Amazon.”

The contracts sent to most vendors look a lot alike...like this, more or less, sans the picture of the outstretched middle finger.
