Market Perform

Magic boring words for a sellside analyst. They're a giant yawn as they apply to an analyst's bullishness or bearishness on a given stock. If their rating is just "market perform" then it means that they think this stock, at this price, will perform in line with the market, i.e., if the market expands its P/E multiple 8% then this stock too will expand its multiple about 8%.
