The recognition that employees have both an internal and external life.
It’s the sense of meaning and purpose in regard to someone’s work. It’s more than just those warm tinglies. It’s an experience of an inner drive or a connection to something bigger than one’s self as a result of work. It’s not necessarily religious in nature, although it can be. It’s more of a sense of that “something more.”
People of multiple religious backgrounds…or no religion at all…can experience this deep, inner meaning.
