Speaker: Queen
Can anybody find me somebody to love?
Context
This line is from the song "Somebody to Love" by the band Queen from the album A Day at the Races (1976).
This is the story of a man who desperately needs an online dating profile, but he's about three decades ahead of his time, so he sings a song with the line, "Can anybody find me somebody to love?" Really, he's not picky. Anybody can find him somebody to love.
The line repeats throughout a song that's part lament about the meaninglessness of modern life (wake up, go to work, get paid, go home alone) and part prayer about finding him somebody to love. Really, just somebody. He's pretty desperate.
Where you've heard it
Finding somebody to love tends to be a universal theme, and Queen is kind of a big deal in the history of rock and roll, making this the perfect background music for loads of TV shows and movies. It's also an option on the music gaming platform Rock Band 3, and was sung by sheep (yes, sheep) in a Honda Ridgeline commercial during Super Bowl 50.

Pretentious Factor
If you were to drop this quote at a dinner party, would you get an in-unison "awww" or would everyone roll their eyes and never invite you back? Here it is, on a scale of 1-10.
Anytime you quote classic rock, there's a teensy-weensy pretentiousness factor there, but Queen and "Somebody to Love" are so well-known that you won't annoy too many people. Unless you just never shut up about how you can't get a date. So don't sing the whole song—by just asking "Can anybody find me somebody to love?" once, you'll let people know you're single and ready to mingle.
