Context
This line is from the poem "Goblin Market" by Christina Rossetti (1862).
The FDA recommends 2-4 servings of fruit per day. What the FDA declines to tell you is that you should not get that fruit from goblins. The goblins in "Goblin Market" hawk their juicy wares, but anyone who munches them will fall under an evil spell. So it's nice to buy local, unless your merchant has pointy ears.
Where you've heard it
You've heard this at your local farmer's market. Don't buy fruits from those people. They're goblins!
Come Buy, Come Buy by Krista Lysack explores women writers and consumerism in Victorian England. She doesn't seem to have any chapters on goblins though.

Evil, yes, but not pretentious. The goblins don't even bother to disguise themselves.
