Shakespeare Words
Shakespearean, not stirred.
If Shakespeare wrote it, we've Shmooped it.
Eventful
Invented in Love's Labour's Lost“ | Last scene of all,
That ends this strange eventful history,
Is second childishness and mere oblivion, | ” |
It doesn't take a rocket scientist (or, um, genius playwright) to see that eventful = event + full, but here's something you might not know: after Shakespeare used the word just once, there was no record of it until almost 200 years later. It's like it just disappeared without a trace. |
