Aegir
Aegir
Aegir's the guy the gods look to for a rollicking good time. He's renowned for his awesome parties—parties so big that Aegir needs a cauldron a mile wide just to hold all the mead. Everybody's willing to go way out of their way to Aegir's hall on the Island of Hlér, twelve miles out to sea, to get to them. He's so well-known as a party-planner that it's sometimes hard to remember that he's also a sea god (in fact, his name actually means "sea" in Old Icelandic). He's also (maybe, possibly) a giant—his origins are a little murky. Kind of like the sea when he opts to stir it up into a frenzy.
