Who is the narrator, can she or he read minds, and, more importantly, can we trust her or him?
First Person (Central Narrator)/ Matt Cruse
The story is told through the eyes of Matt as he's experiencing it, which makes for some pretty gripping moments. Plus it helps us relate to and invest in him as we get insights into what motivates him to do certain things, and we are held in suspense as he figures out what course of action to follow. Whether we'd like to be or not, we are decidedly on Team Matt in this book… since he's the one telling us the story.
