Lise Bouvier (Leslie Caron)’s Timeline and Summary

Lise meets Jerry in a club, and he drags her out onto the dance floor against her will.
Jerry shows up at the perfume shop where Lise works and, after once again resisting him, she agrees to go out with him.
Lise and Jerry dance along the Seine River. They talk, they smooch, they start falling in love.
Lise shows up late to Henri's stage show. Henri tells Lise he's been made an offer to go on tour in America, and he thinks they should get married before they head for the States.
Lise keeps seeing Jerry on the side. When they stop at his apartment so he can drop some stuff off, she ditches him.
Jerry tells Lise he loves her, and she tells him she's engaged to Henri and bound for America.
Lise and Henri run into Jerry and Milo at the art students' ball. When Henri introduces Lise to Jerry, they pretend like they don't know each other.
After an emotional goodbye with Jerry, Lise leaves the ball with Henri.
Lise and Henri return to the ball, and Lise runs into Jerry's arms. They walk off into the early morning hand-in-hand.
