Nick Fury

What's that lurking behind a broken tractor in Hawkeye's old barn? Is it a mouse? Or a haybale? Why no—it's former S.H.I.E.L.D. director Nick Fury, popping up on the scene just in time to give the downtrodden heroes a pep talk:

Black Widow: Well, all this is good times, boss, but I was kind of hoping when I saw you you'd have more than that.
Nick Fury: I do. I have you. Back in the day I had eyes everywhere, ears everywhere else. You kids had all the tech you could dream of. Here we all are, back on Earth, with nothing but our wit and our will to save the world. Ultron says the Avengers are the only thing between him and his mission. Whether or not he admits it, his mission is global destruction, all this laid in a grave. So stand. Outwit the platinum bastard.

Fury's cussin' and cheerin' re-energize the team and send them back out after Ultron once again. But Fury's not abandoning them on their quest. He shows up just at the right time in a Helicarrier to help our heroes safely rescue the Sokovians and send Ultron packing.
