Enoch "Nucky" Johnson Timeline & Summary

After Kuehnle is sent to prison, Enoch "Nucky" Johnson steps in to fill in the power void.
Nucky eventually becomes the boss of Atlantic City, running the local Republican Party and supervising the city's illegal rackets.
At the height of his power, Nucky is even able to get his friend, Walter Edge, elected as governor.
Prohibition helps Nucky become even stronger, as more visitors than ever flock to Atlantic City for easy access to booze.
These high times are ended by the Great Depression, though, and the illegal rackets start to make less money and struggle to survive.
An IRS agent named William Frank arrives in town to investigate Nucky. Although Nucky holds him off for some time, Frank eventually sends Nucky to prison on financial charges.
After returning to Atlantic City, Nucky stays out of the political game and lives a quiet life.
