Janicula Timeline and Summary

Janicula lives in Salucia with his daughter Grisilde, the poorest of its poor inhabitants.
When Walter asks for Grisilde's hand in marriage, Janicula grants it.
When Grisilde returns home after Walter has cast her out of the palace, the narrator reveals that Janicula always thought Walter would eventually tire of Grisilde.
After Grisilde returns to live in the palace, Walter allows Janicula to spend his final years there as well.
