John Keating (Robin Williams)’s Timeline and Summary

Mr. Keating is introduced at the first school year meeting of Welton.
He is then seen in the classroom on the first day of class.
He takes the boys to view the photographs of alumni students and instructs them to "seize the day."
He holds several more class meetings, wherein he takes the boys on outdoor adventures or has them rip pages out of their books.
Disapproving faculty chastise his untraditional methods.
When confronted about his past as a DPS member, he tells the boys about the secret DPS meeting protocol.
He gives Neil advice about dealing with his father.
The boys accompany him to Neil's play.
He is fired after his ties to the DPS are discovered.
Upon returning to the classroom to gather his things, he is saluted by the boys one final time.
