Filostrato Timeline and Summary

Filostrato arrives at the church of Santa Maria Novella with his friends Dioneo and Panfilo.
They meet the seven ladies and agree to their proposal to leave Florence.
He's crowned the first male monarch of the storytelling game at the end of Day Three and has a comical exchange with the outgoing queen, Neifile.
Filostrato proclaims the theme "Unhappy Loves" for Day Four and explains that his love is likely to end badly.
At the end of Day Four, he chooses Fiammetta as the next queen and she immediately asks him to sing a song.
He sings "With fitting tears" to round out the day of misery.
