Viktor Komarovsky Timeline and Summary

Komarovsky first shows up in the book as Amalia Guichard's financial advisor and "protector." In other words, he's her lawyer and her lover at the same time. Sounds great, right? Well, it turns out that Komarovsky is also interested in Amalia Guichard's daughter Lara.
Komarovsky eventually convinces (or pressures) Lara to have a sexual relationship with him. While this is going on, though, the guy develops a conscience and decides to end things before they get out of hand.
Too late. Lara tries to kill Komarovsky with a gun at a Christmas party. She ends up hitting someone else in the hand, and Komarovsky feels so bad that he uses his super lawyer skills to get Lara off the hook.
Years later, Komarovsky shows up in the mountain town of Yuriatin to tell Lara and her new lover, Yuri Zhivago, that the Russian authorities are after them. He offers to get the two of them to safety, but Zhivago won't go, and Lara won't go without Zhivago.
Eventually, Komarovsky hatches a plan with Zhivago to trick Lara into going. The plan works.
