Ivanito Villaverde Timeline and Summary

Ivanito refuses to leave his mother, though she is mentally ill and acting out.
Felicia dances with him and sings loudly to drown out the "sounds."
He eats meringues and coconut ice cream for days and lives in a darkened house.
Finally, Felicia crushes pills onto his ice cream and gives it to him to eat. He is saved by his grandmother.
Ivanito goes to visit his father with Luz and Milagro. It doesn't go well.
He goes off to boarding school and excels. He makes friends with the Russian teacher, but he is tossed out for sexual misconduct. (He makes a move on Ivanito before he leaves.)
Ivanito gets a radio as a present after Felicia dies. He tries to tune in her voice.
He meets Pilar and talks her head off and he dances like an angel with Tia Lourdes.
Ivanito takes Pilar to meet with Herminia.
Lourdes brings Ivanito to the Peruvian embassy so that he can hop a plane out of Cuba and begin a new life.
