Rooney calls Ferris's mom to confirm that she knows her son isn't in school. Oh, and that he has nine absences and Rooney's totally willing to hold him back.
Rooney tells Grace that he's going to bring Ferris Bueller down.
Sloane's "father" calls because Sloane's grandmother has died; Rooney believes it's Ferris and is super-disrespectful to "Mr. Peterson."
When Ferris calls on line two, Rooney apologizes profusely and lets Sloane out of school.
Rooney still thinks Ferris is involved and leaves school to find him.
At a neighborhood pizza joint, Rooney mistakes a young woman for Ferris.
Rooney goes to Ferris's house and, after fighting with and then battering the family dog, enters the house through the doggie door.
Rooney almost literally runs into Jeanie, who's also left school. She kicks him in the face, knocking him out.
