Finn mac Cool
Finn mac Cool
Finn mac Cool is one of the greatest warriors to come out of Ireland, but he's also a softie at heart (poor guy's fiancée, Grainne, ran out on him). He's also had absolute knowledge ever since he burned his thumb on the Salmon of Wisdom. That doesn't stop him from wanting to look good, though. As the leader of the Fianna warrior band, Finn loves to sculpt his abs and glutes with his buddies at the gym.
Basic Information
Name | Finn mac Cool (or Fionn mac Cumhaill) |
Nickname | Finny. I was born "Deimne," but I got my nickname, "Finn," which means "blond," from my hair color. |
Sex | Male |
Current city | Somewhere in the Otherworld, waiting for Ireland to be in danger so I can come back to life and rescue the Irish people. |
Work & Education
Occupation | Professional warrior |
Education | I trained with my personal war band, the Fianna, from age eight. I also got some insider training from my aunt, a Druidess, and her BFF, a female warrior. |
Beliefs
Political views | I make the rules in the Fianna. |
Family & Friends (& Enemies)
Parents | My dad's name was Cumhall and my mom's name is Murna. Some people told me that my dad attacked my mom, then was killed in war by the hero Conn of the Hundred Battles. Other people said that, because he was chief of the Fianna, his rival warriors of Clan Morna got jealous and bumped him off. |
Siblings | None |
Children | My son, Oisin, was a great warrior and poet, and my grandson, Oscar, was no slouch on the battlefield, either. |
Friends | Most of the Fianna |
Enemies | Goll mac Morna, who killed my dad; Diarmaid, a warrior who stole my bride-to-be, Grainne |
Relationships
Relationship status | Married to Sadb, a princess who was a human, then turned into a deer, then became a human, then a deer again. Yeah. I've got a few other wives, including Tasha of the White Arms and Aibe, daughter of the High King Cormac mac Airt. I was originally supposed to marry Aibe's sister, Grainne, but she skipped out on our wedding. |
