Exactly how steamy is this story?

This steaming rating was pretty easy to decide on – there's a lot of sex in this book, some of it quite graphic. Franzen employs all five senses in describing sexual encounters and lets us in on people's most private sexual thoughts and fantasies. He doesn't shy away from the uglier sides of sexuality either, like obsession and abuse. Sex is so important to this book that it's one of our major themes in the novel. Now might be a good time to check that out.
